que onda amigos?!?!?!?!
Well, I seriously cannot believe that another whole week in Rose park has come and gone!!!! The time is going faster and faster and faster! I only have 9 months left!!!!! What the heck!?!?!?!? Where has the time gone?!?!?!?!? I'm loving the new area. There is so much work to be done here. There are SO many hispanic people and we have so much amazing support from the ward. It's awesome! My companion and I aren't the best of friends but we work well together and that's all that really matters!
Pretty much the whole week we were running around like una pareja de loquitas trying to contact all of the referrals we received. Our new zone leaders call us every single night with at least 2 or 3 new referrals. It's awesome! They are really hard workers! This week we met a 13 year old girl and the first time that we talked to her she told us that she reads the Book of Mormon and she loves it and she wants to get baptized! It was amazing! The Lord is blessings us so so much! She just fell right into our laps. She's going to be baptized the 18th! We're super excited for her! She's so so sweet and willing to do anything to learn.
So I had to go to the Dr because I had these weird marks on my legs and they looked like bug bites. I washed my sheets over and over and over but they kept on coming. The Dr said that it was an infection from shaving....weird! And it turns out that I had staff infection (I don't know if that's how it's spelled). I've been taking an antibiotic and it's all gone now...just reddish/purple marks left. The Dr said that it would take about 3 months for them to go away :( But other than that all is good!
We got to meet President and Sister Winn this week! THEY ARE AMAZING!!!!! There are going to be a whole lot of changes in the mission. we're not going to have zone meeting every week...only once a mo nth. Also we're only going to have zone conference once a quarter..so like 4 times a year. We are now allowed to grow our hair as long as we want, our skirts can be whatever length as long as they cover our knees and we only have to wear tights between october and April. I'm super excited for those changes about the dress standards but not so much about the zone conference and zone meetings. But these changes don't come from President Winn, they come from church headquarters and will be applied to all of the missions!
Well, I love this work so so much...you all now that already but seriously, everyday my love for the Lord and His work grows more and more.
I love you all so much!!!!!!!!!
con mucho amor
