SO this week has been one long learning experience! To start off the whole experience: we don't have that many investigators right now because everyone we've been teaching got baptized, which is amazing!!! But now we don't have anyone to teach. So we've been tracting A LOT and it is so so hard. It's really not the most effective way to find people but we don't have any other options right now. It has been a huge trial of my faith! It makes it so much harder to do everything especially get up in the morning. But I learned that God gives us these hard times to prove to him that we really are strong enough to push through. Pretty much the whole week was like that: hard and really really long. But then on Friday the Zone Leaders called us and said that wanted to work in our are for about an hour. So they came and helped us tract also. By the end of the hour, they had found 9 people in our area that are interested in learning about the gospel. It was SO amazing! It was such a clear answer to my prayers! The Lord was just waitig for us to prove to Him that we really do have faith that He is preparing people in our area for us to teach! Our zone leaders are so amazing! I never want to go to another zone and have other ZL's.
We also went and vistied all of the bishops on the stake to ask for referrals. Now that we've received all of these referrals from the ZLs and the bishops, we have to go visit all of these people and see if they are really interested in learning and start teaching them. And that is another trial of our faith because nobody has been home!!!! We just have to be persistant!!! It's hard and discouraging but we have to endure through it with a big fat smile
So that's pretty been the whole week: tracting and checking referrals of people who aren't home...it's been a bummer but the thing that gives me hope is that i know that this is God's work and He has blessings waiting on the other side of this! I just can't wait to get to that point. BUt the thing that i have to focus on right now is what i have to do to prove to HIm that I have faith in Him and in His son Jesus Christ!
Memorial Day was pretty fun! It was pretty much all a regular day except for that we went to a huge BBQ for lunch! The whole entire zone went to this park where all the polynesians were having a giant party. THere was super loud musoc blasting and when the DJ saw us walking up he was like "Look everyone, our VIPs finally arrived: THE MISSIONARIES ARE HERE! Make room for them at the front of the line and let them get their food first!" He made sure that we had everything that we needed. He made everyone who had drinks left in their coolers come gives us their drinks! ANd for about 15 minutes he made a huge deal out of the fact that we were there and that we were the VIPs. There were about 400 polinesians there and eveyone gave us food. THey also gave us free shirts that say I am from Rose park! I guess they have this party ever year and they call themselves the rose park family! It was really fun and we left there really full!
Well, I'm sorry that this letter isn't very exciting! It just hasn't been a very exciting week! Hopefully this week will be a little bit more exciting! I love you all so so much! Have a great week!
